Dr. Sima brings over 15 years of experience as a periodontist and implant surgeon to Sierra Nevada Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Following his periodontics residency at University of Toronto he spent 7 years at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and The Forsyth Institute providing periodontal and oral surgical care, conducting cutting-edge research and teaching. In addition to his clinical training, Dr Sima earned a Doctor of Science Degree in Oral Biology from Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, and has published over 30 research publications and holds multiple awards for excellence in clinical, research and teaching activities.
Dr. Sima enjoys the beautiful outdoors in the Reno-Tahoe area, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends. He is passionate about photography and environmental conservation.”
